A total number of 2,850 students who
applied for both full-time and part-time
programmes of the Moshood Abiola
Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, on
Thursday took an oath of matriculation.
The Rector of the institution, Prof. Oladele
Itiola, who addressed the students at the
OGD hall urged them to be focused,
committed and disciplined, so as to
graduate in flying colours.
He told the students to be prepared to
contribute their quota by acquiring
knowledge to lift the nation out of the
global economic challenges.
He also told the students that the
management do not value only their
academic achievements and potential, but
also they look forward to the character
traits, skills and competence that will
make them proud as their mentors and
parents.
The rector explained that the institution
would continue to create an enabling
environment for quality teaching and
learning through lecture spaces that are
conducive and 24-hour uninterrupted
electricity supply.
He encouraged the students to take on
leadership positions in the various fields
that they have chosen.
Mr. Seyi Sobande, Director, Students
Affairs, advised the students to abide by
the institution’s rules and regulations,
urging to desist from joining bad
association.
He told them to report any challenge to
the right authority.
