Mr. Eneotu Joseph and Mr. Malagu Joshua who were part of the 2500 students sponsored by NIMASA to the UK, Philippines, Egypt, India and Romania to be trained on specialized maritime courses under the Nigerian Seafarers Development Program (NSDP), have graduated with distinctions.
NAIJ.com notes that among the 2500 students, 300 of them have been studying in Constanta Maritime University in Romania since 2013.

Dr. Dakuku Peterside, the director-general of NIMASA, who was represented at the graduation ceremony by Mr. Gambo Ahmed, the executive director of Maritime Labour & Cabotage, stated that NIMASA is doing its best to provide sea-time training for the students.

Meanwhile, NP previously reported that Pelumi Olugbenga, a quintessential 300-level student from the Department of History and International Studies, Faculty of Arts, Lagos state University, won a Hessselben scholarship award to attend a leadership summit in United States (US).
Olugbenga emerged as one of the five newly selected Hesselbein International Scholars from Africa to participate in the 2017 Hesselbein Global Leadership Summit at the prestigious Hesselbein Global Academy for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
