American hip-pop act, Kevin Gates has finally been released from prison after serving 9months for a felony weapons charge.
The rapper on Wednesday morning walked out of the Illinois state prison on parole, where he served 9 months of a 30-month sentence.
Recall that Gates was initially convicted and sentenced to 5 months in prison for kicking a female fan in the chest during one of his shows in 2015. However, on the day he was supposed to get out of prison, an outstanding weapons-related warrant was found and he was sent back to prison with a 30 months sentence.
The New Orleans rapper will be under a mandatory supervision and can't possess any firearms.
