Road Encroachers Ultimatum

The Cross River State chief Vehicle Inspection officer, Sir Bepeh Paul has issued a seven days ultimatum to all traders encroaching on government roads in Watt market and Ika Ika Oqua (Marian) market, Calabar, the state capital to evacuate their products or face the wraths of the law.

Bepeh disclosed this during a sensitisation tour to all roads within Watt market and Ika Ika Oqua (Marian) market, saying it’s their responsibility to ensure a free flow of vehicles within and across the state.

He maintain that traders within this area do not longer sell inside the market but rather occupying roads that are suppose to be used by vehicles and pedestrian.

He therefore appeal to all traders to look for permanent shops inside the market to enable the city take it clean shape as well as to avoid any action that will cause them untold hardships.
