Pregnant women numbering over a hundred on Thursday, stormed the Ondo State Specialist Hospital in Akure to protest against the outrageous bills charged by the institution.
According to reports, the hospital had introduced a new charge of N25,00 for normal delivery.
The expectant mothers are currently disrupting operations at Ante-natal section of the hospital. They are demanding Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to urgently reverse N25,000 charge.
According to reports, pregnant women and their children below 5 years enjoyed free medical services under previous administration of Olusegun Mimiko in the state.
