Choi... Chelsea should have signed this £58.5m-rated attacker instead of Morata – agreed?

Our resident Chelsea supporters are already starting to fear whether their club signed the right striker this season.
Antonio Conte’s side spent big for Alvaro Morata last month, much to the amusement of their rivals.
It appeared the Blues were keen to bring a new man in after Conte informed Diego Costa that the Spaniard is surplus to requirements, and after losing out on Romelu Lukaku, the desire for a striker seemingly turned to desperation.
Morata is a good striker. The 24-year-old proved his aptitude last season by finding the net 15 times for Real Madrid in 27 games. However, in desperation, Chelsea have clearly paid over the odds for a striker with just over 50 career goals.
In fact, last season was the only campaign in which the ‘hitman’ produced double figures in the goalscoring charts – Blues fans have a right to be worried.
In a window in which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang revealed (Radio RMC via the Mirror) that he wanted to leave Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea opted for a No 9 who only finds the net on occasion.
And on occasion doesn’t quite cut it in contrast to Aubameyang’s 31 goals in 32 Bundesliga outings. The Gabon international averages 3.6 shots per game compared to Morata’s 2.1. He is more likely to make more dribbles, make more key passes and doesn’t get dispossessed as much as his Spanish counterpart.
It’s early days, but is it already looking like a decision that could cost the Blues this season?
